Beetroot as the name suggests is the sweet vegetable. With it dishes like juice and halwa are famous and enjoyed by all rather than a dal. The colour of the vegetable is quite attractive and it has a special place in the hearts of the children. Here is a recipe of beetroot curry which can be prepared in a short time.
INGREDIENTS:
Beet root
Salt
Red chillies
Red chilli powder
Mustard seeds
Oil
Urad dal
Channa dal
Turmeric powder
Cumin
PREPARATION:
select beetroots, peel and wash well
Grate beetroots
Take a kadai. Pour oil, add mustard seeds when they crackle add urad dal, channa dal, red chillies and cumin. Fry till golden brown.
Then add the grated beetroots, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder.
Mix well and allow it to fry for 10 minutes.
Its ready to serve along with rice or chapatis.
